I was hired to design the logos, idents, and branding manual for TV or NOT TV, Luis Rubio’s comedy show on TBS, centered around parodying television and its culture. The show was sharp, quick-witted, and packed with layered references to the disposable and everchanging TV & news cycle.

In addition to the official branding, a logo copycat approach was used for the show’s opening and bumpers. The program didn’t just reference and parody TV shows and networks, it also mimicked them, blending into the very television culture it was critiquing.
Its central question captured the spirit of the show: Why would you expect something from your TV that you wouldn’t from a blender, a microwave, or any other household appliance?
