“Where happened to Steve?” That was the question everyone in the NFT space was asking during our unique growth activation campaign: the Random Ravers Ticket Hunt.
Steve is a raver who vanished under obscure and mysterious circumstances. His best friend Roy is worried, not about Steve’s safety, but because Steve was holding both of their tickets to The Raverse, a metaverse safe haven for ravers.
We created a series of fake Instagram profiles to bring the story to life, introducing characters and key locations tied to Steve’s disappearance: Steve, Roy, Steve’s mom, his boss, girlfriend, his favorite clothing brand Degenwear, and the tech support office he ghosted. All of them were woven together into a digital mystery adventure built around one central insight: What happens when your best friend disappears with your tickets?
The campaign marked the successful launch of the Random Ravers, with the community growing to 22,000 Twitter followers and 20,000 Discord users, all waiting to rave for eternity in The Raverse.
His best friend, grieving briefly, begged The Raverse to recover his missing ticket.
His mom, suddenly living her best life: traveling the world and finally enjoying the freedom she always dreamed of.
A disgruntled boss, obsessed with Steve’s low performance and total lack of care in the workplace.
An indie clothing designer demanding payment for custom rave fits long overdue.
A bullied coworker, tired of covering for his nap-prone colleague.
Friends or foes, they all had one thing in common: they were suspects in the disappearance of Steve, also known as Sicko.
The Raverse Ticket Hunt began inside our Discord community with a coded first clue. From there, ravers had to pull the thread: following likes, comments, digital relationships, and even hacking into the security system of Sicko’s workplace.
After collecting every clue and solving the mystery, participants had to visit the Raverse microsite and answer one final question to claim their spot:
What happened to Steve?

In total, over 50 unique renders and videos were produced to build the world around the mystery of Steve’s whereabouts — kickstarting a community destined to UNTZ for eternity in the metaverse.
