MOD (Merch on Demand) is a Canadian startup that streamlines merch production for brands and influencers. They approached me to design their brand identity ahead of their first funding round. The goal was to convey accessibility, simplicity, and technology through a user-friendly visual language that positioned MOD as a low-risk, high-value production partner.
The idea behind the branding was to contrast a friendly, tech-forward identity with a visual theme inspired by long-exposure light painting. This aesthetic represented the user's creative intervention, making design feel easy and personal.
This way MOD was positioned as an enabler, helping brands and influencers express themselves and connect with their audiences through merch, while highlighting each brand’s unique personality.​​​​​​​
In addition to the branding guidelines, we developed a digital product photography system to align with the new visual approach.
